Singer Joeboy’s major concern in a girlfriend is her willingness to reciprocate spending. The Nigerian artist stated in a recent interview with BBNaija’s Tacha on her Cool FM show that a potential red flag for him is a woman who does not contribute financially.
“One of my red flags in a girl is if she’s unwilling to spend money on me. I’m not looking to take advantage, but I believe in mutual giving and receiving. It’s not about me wanting to solely benefit,” Joeboy emphasized during the interview.
Delving into the topic of relationships, Tacha inquired whether Joeboy explicitly asks women to be his girlfriend or if they simply fall into that role. Joeboy clarified, “I’ve only had two serious relationships, and in both cases, I formally asked them to be my girlfriend.”
It’s worth noting that Joeboy has been in a committed relationship with a mysterious woman for the past two years, and he proudly shared that he spared no expense in pampering her throughout their time together.
During a previous interview with Cool FM in February 2024, he disclosed, “I enjoy spoiling my woman. As for the money spent on her, it’s upwards of ₦50 million, though that’s just an estimate. I don’t keep track. It could be more.”
When asked about his favorite aspect of his relationship, Joeboy expressed appreciation for his girlfriend’s understanding of his lifestyle, underscoring the importance of mutual understanding in a partnership.
