“My dear friends, I fell victim to a robbery just hours ago,” Shakib revealed, providing details of the incident and the loss of valuable items. This unfortunate event occurred barely two weeks after Zari Hassan’s residence was targeted by armed robbers. In this latest incident, Shakib Cham Lutaaya experienced another theft of valuables and money in the same Kampala neighborhood.
Shakib was confronted by a robber at a local supermarket, resulting in the loss of his belongings. Taking to social media, he shared the incident, explaining that the thief seized a bag from him and swiftly escaped. The bag contained two phones, expensive chains, and a sum of cash.
“Dear friends, I was robbed hours back. My bag, which held two phones, a sum of cash, and expensive chains, was snatched at my neighborhood supermarket,” Shakib conveyed.
According to him, eyewitnesses positively identified the thief as a close associate of a prominent Ugandan musician, identifying him as Benja. Shakib expressed determination to apprehend the thief and seek justice.
“I will stay put and ask for cooperation as my team and I dig into this matter. I vow to deal with whoever the culprit Benja and his fellow accomplices are!” Shakib affirmed.
Last month, Zari’s home in Kampala was invaded by armed robbers, resulting in injuries to her guards and the theft of valuables. The 43-year-old businesswoman shared an update on the incident through her social media, describing the brutal attack on her security guard, who was physically harmed during the robbery.
According to the Ugandan socialite based in South Africa, the thieves attempted to steal her cars, but the sound of police sirens prompted them to flee.
“I can’t believe you even tried to drive away with my cars… I will track you down, shaking my head!! If anyone has information about stolen property in Munyonyo, please come forward; it’s just a matter of time before I locate you,” she stated.
“They broke into the house, woke up my family members, inquiring about various things. Although they managed to take away a significant number of items, the primary concern is that we are safe. My family members are unharmed, but the security guard, hopefully, he recovers, as he was brutally attacked,” Zari added.
It’s worth noting that Zari was not at home when the incident occurred.
