Muhairwe Reegan, popularly known as Ray G, hails from Ishaaka, where he was born and raised. His secondary education took place at Adventist College.
Despite his youth, Ray G made a significant impact when he recorded his initial hit single, “Amarari,” at Lyrics Records. The accompanying video was released in 2013, foreshadowing his future success that would resonate throughout the region.
Securing his first professional contract with Deconcept Music marked a pivotal moment for Ray G, eventually leading him to establish his own label, Awesome Entertainment. His talents also graced the Comedy Store stage.
Ray G distinguishes himself by singing in the Runyankole language, contributing numerous singles to his repertoire over the years. Collaborating with artists from the western and central regions of the country, he has solidified his position as one of the most esteemed musicians in the history of the Western Region.
In his personal life, Ray G found love and tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Annabell Twinomugisha, a TV West host, on October 16, 2021. The wedding ceremony showcased the couple’s elegance, with gospel singer Levixone serving as Ray G’s best man. Their engagement took place during the initial wave of the Covid-19 lockdown in July 2020.
