THE INSPIRATIONAL JOURNEY OF LADY TIE
Titie was brought up by her mother as a single parent, despite her father’s presence, he was indifferent to both her and her mother. Among seven siblings, she holds the position of the sixth-to-last child. Her early education took place in Kampala alongside her parents.
Later, she attended Ndejje Secondary School and Taibah High School for her O-levels. Subsequently, she pursued a diploma in Project Planning and Management at Makerere University. Her academic journey continued as she earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree, driven by her inclination towards mathematics over textual learning.
In her spiritual journey, Lady Titie embraced Christianity and actively participates in the Mutundwe Christian Fellowship, led by Pastor Mugerwa in Mutundwe. During the early and late 1990s, Lady Titie carved her niche as one of Uganda’s most prominent female musicians.
Remaining at the forefront of Uganda’s music scene for an extended period, she transitioned into radio hosting, working with various stations, including Beat FM, Dembe FM, and Super FM. Achieving widespread recognition as the host of “Titie’s Show,” a radio program, she later expanded her reach to television, currently hosting it on NBS television.
On her show, Lady Titie engages in discussions covering diverse topics such as marriage, relationships, domestic violence, careers, and urgent assistance for those in need. Seeking advice from her viewers, she incorporates their insights into her interactions with guests.
Lady Titie continues to play a pivotal role in fostering interest in music among Ugandans and fellow musicians. Her multifaceted career spans music, radio, and television, showcasing her versatility and commitment to addressing important societal issues.
