Walukagga Shafik, born on January 10, 1996, is a Ugandan rapper widely recognized by his stage name Fik Fameica, also known as Fresh Bwoy and King Kong. He creates music across genres such as rap, hip-hop, afrobeat, and afropop. Fameica made his musical debut in 2015 with “Pistol” under the Black Man Town music label, led by Ugandan music icon Geosteady. Later hits like “Salawo” and “Mbega Wa Bbaala” secured him a recording contract with Kama Ivien Management. Notably, his club hits “Batuwulira” and “Byenyenya” propelled him to become the most booked Ugandan artist in 2017.

Fik Fameica earned awards in Uganda and East Africa, ultimately winning Uganda’s Most Popular Artist in 2017. In 2018, he received accolades at the HiPipo Awards, being crowned Breakthrough Artist and receiving Best in Hip-Hop and Best Rap Song for “Kutama.”

Continuing his success, Fameica produced additional club hits like “Mafia,” “Property,” “Sconto,” and “Tonsukuma.” In 2019, he collaborated with Nigerian superstar Patoranking for the hit song “Omu Bwati.” In the same year, he established Fresh Gang Records, signing various artists, local managers, and official dancers.
