Although he has not yet received an invitation, Kenzo encouraged Ugandans to support Rema Namakula, emphasizing her talent as a good performer with excellent music. “People should come and support her because she’s a good musician; she deserves it. She deserves the best,” stated Kenzo. When asked if he would attend, he responded with, “if God allows.”
Acknowledging Rema’s musical prowess, Kenzo continued to praise her, saying, “She is a good singer. She is a great artist, and when you go there, you will have fun… It’s gonna be amazing because she’s the best.” When questioned about performing at the concert, Kenzo remarked, “When they allow me to.”
Rema Namakula’s concert is scheduled for February 23, 2024, at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala. Rema and Kenzo were in a relationship for about six years, and their public breakup occurred in 2019. In a recent interview, Rema mentioned that the public became aware of the split two years after it happened.
“Most of you didn’t know about [the breakup] because people around me protect my secrets,” revealed Rema. “And it wasn’t just one year… it was about like two years…”
The Ngonze hitmaker started living with Kenzo around 2013 after parting ways with her former boss and music manager, Bebe Cool. Kenzo and Rema share a daughter named Aamal Musuuza.
Lydia Jazmine is set to host her concert on March 1, 2024, adding to the list of upcoming events.
Before the end of March, concerts by Davido, Rema Namakula, Fik Fameica, former Blu*3 band members (Lilian Mbabazi, Cindy Sanyu, & Jackie Chandiru), and Lydia Jazmine are all scheduled.
The latest announcement is Davido’s Kampala concert, named Timeless, scheduled for March 29. The venue for this event, sponsored by Fenon Records, NTV Uganda, and NRG Radio, is yet to be disclosed.
Cindy Sanyu, Jackie Chandiru, and Lilian Mbabazi have also disclosed plans for a joint concert on Women’s Day, March 8, 2024, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
