Cosign Yenze, born Bartson Lutalo, is a versatile Ugandan singer and songwriter who explores various music genres, including Dancehall and R&B. Affiliated with Realester Entertainment, he coined his musical style as “Urban Kidandali.” Residing in Kampala, Uganda, he achieved recognition as one of the top ten finalists in the Tusker Project Fame competition.
Hailing from Kangulumira, Kayunga District, Cosign attended Catherine Primary School for his elementary education and Uganda Martyrs Secondary School in Kangulumira for middle and high school. He furthered his education at St. Joseph Technical Institute in Kisubi, Entebbe, obtaining a diploma in electrical engineering.
Cosign gained prominence in the music scene with the release of his debut single, “Niwatwire,” in January 2017. Subsequently, he crafted hits like “Love Y’Ebigambo,” “Zabiike,” and “Body to Body.” Collaborating with Dj Ciza in 2018 on the single “Bad Energy,” he continued to make waves in the industry.
The breakthrough came with his hit single “Obeera Wa,” earning him the prestigious “Best R&B Song of the Year 2018/19” at the Hipipo Music Awards. Throughout his career, Cosign collaborated with notable artists such as Abaasa, Lilian Mbabazi, Patrobas, and Pryce Teeba.
