Born Patrick Musasizi on May 1, 1990, in Mityana, Uganda, Chozen Blood is the second-to-last child in a devout Catholic family of 13. He received his early education at Roadside Mityana Primary School and later attended Mityana Secondary School. Opting for further education, Chozen pursued a bachelor’s degree in tourism at Makerere University.
The moniker “Chosen” was bestowed upon him by the choir leader at his former church, who used to playfully remark, “This boy is chosen.” In response, Chozen decided to adopt the name “Chozen Blood” as a nod to this amusing characterization.
