Sadat Mukibi, born on March 13, 1990, grew up in Kabowa, a suburb of Kampala, with his single mother. Kalifah attended Kawanda Secondary School for both his O and A Levels. Notably resembling Wiz Khalifah from the US, his musical style draws inspiration from Wiz Kid in West Africa.
Upon completing high school, Kalifah AgaNaga faced a crucial juncture. In 2012, utilizing the $400 provided by his brother for tuition, he invested in recording his inaugural single, “Mina Konda,” and producing a corresponding music video. Diligently promoting it on various media platforms, he crossed paths with Emma Carlos, a renowned talent manager associated with TWINKLE Star Agency. Striking a deal with Carlos proved instrumental in Kalifah’s breakthrough, leading to a platinum album featuring hit singles like “Mina Konda.”
The album predominantly features AfroBeat, Zouk, and Dancehall tracks, and collaborations with other artists are evident. Notable among these are “Kizibu” with Mun G, a prominent Luga Flow artist, and “Gunsimbye,” formerly the lead singer for Wafagio, now known as Esther Corado. In 2015, Kalifah AgaNaga, in collaboration with TWINKLE Star Agency, released a subsequent album titled “Songs of AgaNaga,” accompanied by plans for a grand concert. His noteworthy contributions earned him a nomination for Best African Act at the prestigious BEFFTA Awards.
